Fringe Heals

At Fringe, we believe plants are central to our health and societies for food and medicine. One of the most versatile plants in terms of its active medicinal compounds is Cannabis sativa (of which a sub-species is the hemp plant). The cannabis plant has been used in traditional medicine practices for thousands of years and is documented in the oldest pharmacopeias of time.

Approaching the 20th century cannabis was the most common ingredient in many over-the-counter medications with a wide array of uses for both food and industry. Using cannabis as a medicine was a way of life for us. Plants have been an invaluable resource to us for healing for centuries, and today, the scientific evidence supporting their importance in modern medicine is stronger than ever.
